Better late than never
I'm betting you were getting these at cheap auto parts stores and not good brand name parts.
This should be a lesson to not get difficult electrical parts from the local auto parts store unless they are well known brand name parts.
Trust me I worked at O'Reilly's for nearly 2 years and I know crappy parts when I see them.
