PLEASE, don't put speakers in your doors. JMO, never liked the idea of cutting holes. Kick panels are OK but most look like an add on.
Here is what we did in the '64 we're working on. We added speakers in the corners under the dash. Modified brackets from the dash speakers of a mid 80s square body They are only 3 1/2 inch Kicker speakers but hope they will work for now. Intend to add rear corner speakers after the fuel tank is relocated.
