Re: Simple frame paint?

I usually powder coat parts/pieces that can be done easily. I've also had an entire chassis powder-coated as well. But even w/the PC, I made sure I used an option that I could touch-up easily w/a rattle can. Rattle can stuff works fine, is easy for touch-ups, & readily available. That makes it about perfect for a budget approach on a 'driver'.

My old 'go-to' was the original Krylon Satin Black. Once the formula changed & it was no longer available on the local parts store/Walmart shelves, I started using the VHT Epoxy stuff. I use/like stuff that flashes off/dries as quick as possible.

I tried Rustoleum but it took way too long to flash-off for painting things in a driveway. It does match my PC'd chassis the best so I use it for spot repairs if I need.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
