The end that goes into the tab on the frame is slightly too large to fit into the star (for lack of a better term) opening in the tab. Instead of a multi sided circle the end is more like a square with the corners 45'ed off. I just filed each flat until it would fit into the opening in the tab. Took about 10 minutes on each hose.
