Re: Sideways Saturday

Was expecting to see a truck "sideways" doing a burnout! I know we have some trucks here that can do it.

Thanks for the kind comments about my red 69. I bought it in 1989 and gave it to my son in 2012. He had paint and body work done in 2018, and now it's coming back to me. Will eventually go back to him and then his son.

I built the mild 355 sometime around 2003. Truck has a TH350, 3.08 axle, front discs, rear sway bar, dropped around 1"-2" front 2"-3" rear. 1985 C10 spindles, ECE rear springs and ECE adjustable track bar.

Plans: replace 1999 Vintage air system with their Gen IV system. Maybe convert to OD trans and 3.73 axle. Possibly aftermarket EFI like Holley Sniper. It has a roller cam block, but I cheaped-out with a flat tappet cam. May put a mild-performance roller in it.

Probably TMI, but once I get started...

1969 C10 (not the current one) that I bought in the early 1980s. Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming.
