There are three major high current draws in the cab. So you might consider running them through relays. The ignition switch, /the light switch /and the starter solenoid. It is pretty easy to control the relays using the switches. Keep in mind that the stock harness usually works pretty well for quite a while. It is The ignition switch and the headlight switch that carry the most current with the heater switch to a lesser degree. You would need several relays and lots of control wiring for them so you would have to decide if it was worth the extra time and effort when the stock system works pretty well for a long time.
The headlight relay mod is the most beneficial in my opinion and it is done mostly in the engine bay. I covered that in the FAQS thread at the top of this forum.
