i like the ride of good coils and gas charged shocks, and slipper leaf springs in the back arent bad. coilovers make it ride and handle better when low, and give more adjustability both in height and valving. depending on where you mounted the cab it might already be plenty low. so maybe just get some gabriel monotube shocks for a g body, they are slightly shorter but have more effective travel (being monotube). although i have a perfectly good ride with monroe twin tubes too. if you are set on doing a 4 link you will need coilovers anyway for the rear. avoid colloquialisms people use like "handles like a gokart" or "rides like a caddy" because in my experience neither are really true, its just generalizations for darty feeling or over cushy.
