i don't know man, that hood inlet might be the best thing going for ya! keep under-hood temps down and keep that air filter from sucking just hot radiator air. can you duct it down to ram air wash the filter with fresh air?
or what about rear opening louvers on the back of the hood to help hot air and higher pressure out? same in the back of the fender liner?
