A lunch box locker can be more harsh and noisy than a detroit or grizzly locker. Those type of lockers can be touchy on the street. Zero need for a LBL on the street. Low cost is only benefit IMO. I would use a torsen type diff like the Tru-trac if in your shoes. Strong, smooth and reliable, no clutches to wear out. Only drawback I have seen is it can act like an open diif when lifting a wheel. Applying brakes can help the problem but it does not seem like that would be a problem for you.
