bear in mind that the ls engines have a different offset to the torque converter etc so a flywheel spacer is possibly needed if running something that used to be behind a small block chevy. at least thats what I seem to remember. what kind of module or ecm will you run for your engine? the ecm needs to be able to run the trans as well, check around what will work best for you and your set up. some may have different gear ratios going through the gears as well.

Yeah, I had read something that said an adapter was needed for the earlier model trans. I was wanted to use my 700r4 but doubt it would last long behind this LS. I I’m using the Fitech Ultimate LS EFI with trans control & it calls for the 4l60, 4l65, 4l80 or 4l85. The rear end is a 8.5 10 bolt & 3:73 gears.
