Yep...and there is no getting away from any gas station USA without 20-30 minutes of conversations. I am always ready to accommodate them. Especially if kids are with them. If they are young enough, I ask if they want to sit in the truck and get a picture.
Always "What is a truck like this worth?" and / or "Is it for sale?".
Thumbs up, honked at, at traffic lights. People rolling down their window and wanting to chat. I watch some people taking videos of the truck while we are rolling.
All part of it.
An interesting observation...for 5 years I had the '70 Nova SS and the '78 Trans Am at the same time. The Nova would attract the older crowd along with their memories back in the day...Typically, car enthusiasts. The Trans Am attracted people of all ages and persuasions. And, of course, there was always the "My mother's uncle's girlfriend's cousin-in-law knew someone that had one just like it. Except it was a different color with bench seats and a 6 cyl." LOL!
