I don't know what language vestibule comes from, but I first learned the word from camping tents. An enclosed area outside the tent door. I guess it's the same thing as a foyer. And I didn't say "fire" with a speech impediment. I think a foyer has a door. I guess another word for it would be alcove.
See that 1/2 round window? Behind that to the opening you see behind the pumpkin is a small area outside the door into the mudroom (know what that is?
