Your '69 belongs in our time capsule thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...capsule+thread Chevy really didn't standardize on a wheel color for pickups until 1970, there were several rules in place up until 1969. Early '69 wheels were painted argent silver, carryover colors from '68. There was a transition to white painted wheels sometime after the introduction, not sure on the date or when all assembly plants standardized on white wheels. 4WD's wheels were black in early '69, same as in '68, probably went to white about the same time 2WD argent silver wheels went to white. IMO, in '69, either argent silver or white wheel color is acceptable, personal preference on what flows better with exterior body color. Here is an early '69 Custom Camper with argent silver 16.5 rims photo taken when brand new.
