Robert, the Lizard Skin should do a good job for the most part with heat and noise. I would add extra thick jute from the firewall to the back of the cab. Then put your carpet over that. You can see how I did mine in the build thread. Main difference, I used the peel and stick absorber and deadener over the lizard skin.

The jute/carpet combo was almost an unreal change in my '49.

The more area you cover with the peel and stick, the better. It will help deflect heat and noise, and does a great job at stopping vibrations.
