Ok, I dont see where he said he never used the detent cable he did state passing gear never worked. To me that can be from improper adjustment, using the wrong bracket, and a couple other reasons. Being a 350 turbo it will shift ok
without a cable but will not kickdown for passing. Which ever stud for the carb he needs you two have him covered. Wish he would have given more info and better photos. Oh well we do what we can.
