May of this year, I pulled the truck out of its resting place, went for a test drive, and made a list.
on my test drive it felt like the windows were going to rattle out of their channels, the passenger door kept flinging open, and the truck overheated.
I started on the overheating first. I moved the radiator forward 2" by modifying the core support. I was then able to put a proper electric fan behind the radiator with a shroud. I also fixed a kinked lower radiator hose and excessively flushed the cooling system.
Next I tackled the doors and windows. The Altman latch kit was easy and made a noticeable difference in how the doors open and shut. I also rebuilt all the window channel felts and added some firewall sound deadening.
