I've seen the inserts upholstered to match the interior. I'm a big fan of the western saddle scroll that goes with the western theme names of the high trim trucks. The woodgrain was a popular car trim at that time. I like the Sierra/Cheyenne interior better than the Grande/Super. Houndstooth fits in nowhere with the western them. Was it Glen Campbell who sang, "Like a houndstooth cowboy"?
I like the seat scroll to match the door panel scroll. I consider removing the woodgrain insert as an upgrade.
