Another good suggestion. I have only tried through Chevrolet or GMC dealerships. I do think GM's dealer network is pretty well integrated, meaning if a part is out there any dealer can tell you where it is. But I do come at it from different directions (because most of the time it's the attitude of the particular parts person on the phone that matters most). I play part number roulette fairly regularly. I usually take turns calling my local Chevrolet or GMC parts counter, along with one or two older (what I'd consider legacy) dealerships in different states and go through a list of 7-10 obsolete parts. Probably 1 out of every 40-50 numbers hits (maybe less), meaning that one pops up at a dealership somewhere in the US. Often when you call that dealership, they can't find the part that the database says they have. Unfortunately at the dealer level, the parts for our trucks are obsolete and long since gone. Even older dealerships that have survived have purged their old stock.

The exhaust part numbers are many and superceded several times over in many cases. Clamps are definitely a part for which there are many numbers...and I've tried all the ones I know to try or think to be correct.

I am working on a very late 1970 Fremont K20. The pics are of a very original 1971 Fremont K20.

Thanks for posting.
