It’s going pretty well so far really. I’ve been just sneaking in a little time here and there where I can. I work in a machine & fabrication shop so I have access to a lot of tools the average shade tree mechanic may not. Even so, getting the rivets re squished nicely is not fun. I have messed up a couple and had to grind them back out and redo.

Brothers Trucks has a really nice youtube video showing the process of putting in new seals.

I will say, if you want them “nice” like rechromed or powder coated or whatever you are far better off just letting someone do them for you. My truck isn’t super nice but not exactly patina either so I’m just giving the chrome a light scotchbrite and calling it good.

Edit: if you are going to do this don’t forget the glass setting tape. It is not included in the precision vent window seal kit and you need it to put the glass back in the frame.
