At this point, best to pull the rotor, clean and inspect the bearings and races, and if things look good, repack with bearing grease and reassemble. If there are any groves in the rotor, good time to have them turned.

The 'clunk' could be a simple case of things being too loose or a worn bearing that still runs quiet.
