I have a trading addiction

Although my user name has 67K20 in it, my dumbass traded that truck and I went on a 3 year trading obsession since.

I wanna start out by saying that I bought my first classic (the 67 K20) at age 24 and I was far from being financially mature. I already had a 2000 Ford Ranger, my first vehicle, that was my very first build (started at 19) and I LS swapped it and made it a full blown dedicated drag racing truck, I stupidly traded it for a 65 Suburban that I ended up LS swapping and selling and used that money to buy and build my wife's 71 C10.

I started out with the 67, pretty basic truck not much was original except maybe the flatbed that was welded to the frame somewhere very early in the trucks life, I assume this because it had 67-72 step side tail lights flush mounted onto the back of the flatbed and it was very dated, anyway, it was manual EVERYTHING. SM420 trans, manual hubs, manual drums, manual crank windows...everything. I drove the crap out of that truck for about a year and a half, put some H2 wheels on it, etc...it was cool, but it wasn't very practical to drive long distances. It was my first classic and I liked it a lot, but in search of something to match my wife's 71 Custom Deluxe, you can find more on that truck Here: https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...92#post9283192
I foolish and hastily traded it for a 69 GMC that I later named "The Wizard". nothing special about that truck either except that it had factory AC and some cool old pinstriping by a guy named "Wizard" once I got that truck home I found that the floors were GONE, so I ordered patch panels and rockers.

After 3 painstaking months of rust repair, I traded that off for a 99 C3500 extended cab dually. It had a 454 and NV4500, but once I saw the rusted out floorboard under the work-truck mat, I realized I had done it again and made another bad trade.

I only had the dually for about 2 weeks then I traded it for a 94 single cab short bed Cheyenne. It was a v6 truck but man it was so pretty and got lots of attention. I really liked that truck it was just kinda blah with the v6.

At the same time as this I traded a POS daily driver Ford Ranger (not my LS swapped one, that one had already been traded for a 65 Suburban) that I bought for 200 bucks and drove to work for a crown Vic. I had the vic for a month then traded it for a gnarly 96 GMC that had been LS swapped and had a big choppy cam. So in a matter of a month I had 3 GMT400s.

I traded the green Cheyenne for a camo golf cart (IDK why, I already had a cart) and then about a month later I traded BOTH the golf cart and the 96 GMC (Igor) for a 1970 K20 that was rhino-lined camo. Thus the name "Camo". Camo was a bad ass addition to the Red Dog Garage fleet and it felt good to be back in a K20. This one was clearly an old hunting truck. Here's a video that shows all of its glory. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Q6gP4ikMs9U
It was freaking cool, it had a custom built pipe bumper with a 9k winch on it, it had a fully functional tommy lift on the back (made lifting deer or whatever you hunted into the bed easy id bet) came with a set of mud tires that had about 90% tread on em, and came with a bed full of bumpers; original front one, original rear, pipe rear, and another pipe front. It was a 350/350 truck but I liked the fact that it was a factory AC truck with ZERO rust. This truck sat in a pole barn at the hunting lease since it was only 8 years old from what I was told. I believed the guy, the tach only showed 14k on it and who knows if thats 114k or not but it didn't matter, the truck was the most solid 67-72 I had ever seen UNRESTORED.
Well, it happened again though, I was tagged in a facebook marketplace ad for my beloved Ford Ranger, my first build, my first car at 16, the one that got away, so, I messaged him and asked if he'd make a straight across trade and to my surprise, the owner went for it. So we loaded "Camo" up behind my cousins 49 C3800 that's body swapped onto a 99-01 dodge chassis and drivetrain, and hauled it 6 hours to this dude and traded it for my first truck.

I'm done trading for a while but now I just wish I had another K20, ugh, being disabled and broke sucks. Thanks for reading, enjoy the photo bomb.

Trying to go in order of trades by date. First was the Ranger for the 65 Suburban, then the 67 K20 for the GMC, and ill include one of the floor pan restoration.
