Not just then.

When we introduced the Volt in 2011 the interior was a hodgepodge of funky electrical looking patterns and trim colors and interior door trim panel colors and radio center stack colors and seat colors.

After much study I came to realize that the Hamtramck plant was building every car wrong. They looked better than how it was defined, but were wrong.

For 2012 I was able to introduce a change so that they looked right and were supported by the engineering documentation.

For a while there I think I was the only guy in the industry who knew what it was supposed to look like.
