Whatever you do, don't buy this set from western chassis. I did and regretted it. Those blocks are shaped that way to securely fit around the u bolts and are about 2" shorter than the perches on the differential giving a very flimsy look that I had no confidence in. I too made my own from 2 1/4" thick aluminum for my 66. It's very easy
