All of the emblems and noun names and content are tied to that engineering shorthand.
Otherwise you get into this battle of a thousand words that we see here.

I'm in no battle. I've laid it all out, once in '07 and again since it was brought back. It takes more than the RPO codes. What came with each option takes words. Since most people go by the fender emblem, I explained the name changes for the RPO codes through the years quite clearly and accurately
