But, it definitely is not a practical thing. Like 72CustomCamper said, let that gear oil get some miles on it and it won't be a pretty sight, if you can see through what clings to the cover.

That's what I was thinking, plastics can be
very tough, or so I'm counting on it, since my new hip is made of the stuff.........
I like rear ends. My 71 RX2 was sure cool, and 67-72
are sure fine.
