Your easiest bet is offroad design. Do not use gasket seal, you must use the proper gaskets. The tolerances on the adapter require the proper gaskets. Plus, check your adapter for hairline cracks... especially if you have a manual trasmission with the exta long adapter. You cannot check for cracks just eyballing. You need to use ultraviolet light. Wipe it down good, then check with light. No need for leak check additive, the ultraviolet will show seepage through anycracks with regurar gear oil.
