It went easier than it looked. I knew the chinacrap cable end bracket wouldn't work like the original. I took the OEM end put it against my rear step bumper [for an anvil] put a 1/2'' cold chisel in the opening crack and whacked it with an engineer's single jack, but a big head ballpeen would have done. Opened right up perfectly. Same process to pull the shiny china part off. Then I lined up the new cable end and tapped it closed.
The Stock E-Brake system only works on the rear brakes anyway.
