P.S. agree mike is a super nice guy! while at the reunion show here in chandler I talked to him about the truck board and then my issue & he told me to take a set home get them installed & then just pay him the show fee in a few days!!! I kick myself for not taking him up on it!!!

Like SCOTI said, that's an extremely tall tire, I'd put smaller tires on it before I did anything else. But yes, '73-80 trucks have a much more "bulbous" inner fender that gaines you a good bit of room compared to the '81-up trucks.
Our friends at Harrison's Rod Shop did an article with Classic Truck Performance about retrofitting the earlier inner fenders into a later truck for more clearance:
