Good explanation of the transfer case PTO. The transmission mount PTO has its own forward and reverse gears, and can be operated with the tranny either in neutral or in any gear, allows the pto to work while the vehicle is in motion. Useful with dump beds and pumps, but if you have a winch engaged with the vehicle in motion it can be a disaster.
