I think the recall on these trucks in particular was in '72...
I kinda lucked out on mine. I think it was switching from a 3-speed stick to a (over!)built THM400 that did the original mounts in; all mine would do, though, was just shift itself from Drive to Neutral. New mounts cleared that right up. The recall-spec fix was just to chain it down.
The problem is, they really didn't do anything to the mount to make it stay in one piece once the rubber disintigrated...
