^^^ This. The teardrop clearance lamps fit straight onto the roof on 67/68s. They are the same lights used on model years prior to '67. '69 was the first year GM came out with their own design clearance lamps and they got all fancy with making a raised mount roof panel. 69-72 are the only years with this feature. By '73 GM figured out they were wasting money and went back to fitting lights directly to the contour of the roof, using the same lights as 70-72
