Finally :
Right after I test ran it to adjust the ignition timing and so on , I added a short exhaust pipe as the first time it lit off it belched out a 12" ball of greasy smoke and fire , dirtying the fresh paint .
The other side , showing the later model OEM HEI I went with this time and the long engine and TH350 tranny oil dipsticks I used , also using OEM GM parts from G - Series vans , I'm too old & beat up to enjoy leaning over the fender to do my daily fluid checks .
