I am building an 86 crew cab thats going from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive. It didnt have any drive train in it when I bought it and I think it had an aux overdrive in it at one time. I dont have any driveline or the crossmember for the carrier bearing so I was wondering what the crossmember looks like and where its located on the frame.

If you scroll up to where my frames painted just directly below the rear cab mounts is where my steady bearing was mounted ... Due to going a divorced transfer case I eliminated the steady bearing and now run equal length drive shafts front and rear.
