People often wonder why these builds take so long. To that I can only answer that it is labor intensive.
For example. I was working on my semi x-members that will terminate at the intermediate cross-member. They have to have a 3 1/2" dia hole thru them to accommodate the 3" exhaust system I am building so I needed to put a 4" schedule 80 piece of pipe thru them and do it at a 45 degree angle. With nothing but a shaky hand and my plasma cutter I had to blow holes into the 3/16" steel tube I am using and then weld and grind to finish. These two pieces took the better part of 4 hours to build. Imagine that, two little pieces that look so simple but eat half a day to make.
The next person that asks me what is taking so long,...I am gonna twists their nipple off.
