Don't forget that the hazard flasher is a separate unit from the turn flasher. Possible your problem is a bad hazard flasher.

You guys are correct. You push the button in to engage the hazards, then pull the collar out to turn them off. The suggestion that there are 2 flashers got me researching my AAW harness and fuse panel. There is a spot for a second flasher in the upper left corner of the panel. It just isn't obvious that is what it is for. Hard to see and to reach when the fuse panel is installed.

Installed a flasher module and now the hazards come on. Its just that the button automatically pops back out after about 2 seconds. It's never easy...
