That shoop is full of veggies. Tomatoes, green peas, taters, carrots, okra, 3 ears of corn I cut off fresh, one jalapeño, one yellow squash, one zucchini, and one big turnip. Justin Wilson always said you just don’t have soup without it’s got a turnip in it. I put a can of chicken broth and the rest water. Browned about a pound & a half of burger meat and put it in last. Simmered about two hours and it was on! Not much left of it now.
Lost my mom in June to a brain aneurysm and we, me and my family, have taken over feeding my dad, known to all of them as Papaw. He mentioned it was almost cool enough for soup so I made him some tonight. Surprised him with it. He ate three bowls. Mom would be happy.
