I was told that GMC had the sliding tracks and Chev the bolt openings. But I also know that they used whatever was at hand when building our trucks. I have seen burbs that had the truck style solid metal steel body mounts under the core support, instead of the vulcanized rubber ones. I would bet that there are GMC's with the bolts. Think about it, back then no one would question how their truck came from the factory as long as it had the 2 or 3 rows you ordered. It's only because of our addiction to these super cool trucks that we want to learn everything there is possibly to know.
