revitout Lets try to break this down to see if we can get you further along. For ID purposes the main breaks in body design are 73-80 and 81-87 for light duty trucks. The Suburban/Blazer and 1 ton trucks went to 1991.
You say that you think the bed is 80s, but it has two filler doors. The filler doors started in 79 and went to 87 but there were some changes along the way in the size of the filler necks.
If you post pics of your bed we might be able to offer better advice.
