I'm in the middle of doing this conversion now. I had my drive shaft shortend last week with new heavy duty ujoints installed for $165.00 The shop had it done and painted in 2 hours.
I'm using a GM rebuilt 700r4 from a 91 Corvette. Cost was $1450.
