I can relate to your dad no finding anything he remembers,, I am doing that just after 8 years here
I got everything I need here in Nampa ,,dont go to Meridian for nothing since our insurrance made us change Dr's'' and only go to Boise to fetch and return relatives at the Air Port..
I left western Oregon to go where the sun shines more and it does here ,,and the dryer climate is good for the wife ..BUT .. we are getting more people moving here than ever.. Population was around 85k and 8 years later it is 102k and gaining ,,new homes wiping out farmers fields one after another ..Glad I am retired and can pick and choose when I go into town shopping... ...............and ,, we are only 2 hours away from 4 camping spots ..
