Cool Re: Matt's 1970 C10 Thread

December Update!

I took my heads to the machine shop to be surfaced and checked for cracks. My valves were pretty worn so I had new valves and springs installed.

When I picked up the heads I also purchased a new intake. It's an Edelbrock AirGap knockoff.

I changed my mind on the fuel pump setup with my Boyd Tank. I ended up returning the Carter pump I bought and went with the internal setup from Boyd.

I installed the pump and began running the wiring for it.

Today I focused on installing my heads. I used new ARP bolts and Felpro head gaskets.

I've still got the old timing chain cover on because I haven't bought the new one yet. I want to go with the Edelbrock two piece setup.

I couldn't help but to throw my intake and valve covers on to get an idea of where I'm headed.

That's it for now. I will paint the heads sometime in the next few days. I need to begin running fuel line to wrap up the tank install.

Y'all have a good weekend!
