To further discuss this topic, i was thinking about this the other day:

i wonder if the current silverados or even any truck after 87 will be looked upon/yearned for/ considered and treated as "classic" or collectable?

i mean, luminas and celebrities/ A-6000's, cutlass cieras are now 27+ yrs old, but you don't see anyone clamoring for them. (and remember, these are the direct decendants of the tri-5's) Well, really no front wheel drive cars you see anyone clamoring or dreaming about them.

The current silverados are nice (especially the 3/4 and 1 ton versions) but i feel they're a little too complex as far as electronics and engine managment to ever attain collectable/desireable status.

The 88-98 series of trucks are now 12-22 years old, but i actually see more 73-87's on the road
