To use a internal reg alt you still hook up all the wires at the alt. Hook the ground to a case screw and then convert from the square connector to the newer flat style,(wires still go on the same sides,just different connector). And jumper the wires at the old ext reg harness plug like the pic longhorn posted.

There is a place called AlterStart on ebay that sells high amp alts at a reasonable price. I just bought a 135amp from them. Couldn't be happier.

I have no idea how to install a One Wire Alt.
