I'm not 100% but I think the axle housings are the same between 2wd and 4wd. If any difference in width it would be from the axle shafts, backing plates and drums. Again I can measure em tomorrow, since I want to know myself. The Yukon has 3.73 and is 4wd, the tahoe has 3.42s and is 2wd. I plan on doing an SAS to the Yukon, and would like to put 3.73s in the tahoe with a posi I picked up. Figured have some fun lol...
