I am installing an AAM 11.5 from a 2006 2500HD, a 1 ton axle in my 72 (should be same width as 1500). I wanted factory disc brakes in the rear. Do not have the WMS to WMS measurements in front of me but I can measure for you. When doing research I recall it was very close to the Dana 60 front I will be using. The Dana 60 front measurements are identical to Dana 44 IIRC. I know the rear axle is shorter on stock 4WD for some reason that I do not know.
