started on the shifters:
my 64 gmc had an auto floor shifter installed on its high hump, so I decided to pirate it for this project, the transfer case shifter is out of the 87 sub.
the auto shifter turns out to be out of a 64-77 mustang
(at least it is period correct!) I didn't care for the look of the housing, and the 87 4X4 selector housing is a bit plastic and bulky looking as well... so I stopped by auto zone and bought a generic 6X7 inch shift boot, they only had one, so when they restock I will get one for the 4X4 shifter too.
the 4X4 shift rod was hitting the floor brace, so I just switched it the other way...
