I think you will have plenty of power to tow with and use 4X4 too.

I actually had the chance to switch to a 2001 5.3 and I stuck with the 4.8 there was only 15 HP difference. I won't be switching mine unless it's a 6.0 or bigger. I have a feeling I will be plenty happy with the 4.8.
