Re: Post Your Straight Six Pics!

Here's what I've done lately to my 250 in the green '68:

Power brakes and HEI

Here's a few more sixes waiting their turn for rebuilding.

The twins. Two 292's. I'm going to take both to the machinist and have him tell me which is the best. I'll build them both, but only the best for my Panel:

The cleanish one is the 230 that was in my Panel when I bought it. It would start up today, but it has suspect pistons. One was broke when I got it, which I replaced, and I broke another one, which I also replaced. The dirty one is a 250 that has a hole in the top of the number five piston. The V-thingy is a '68 327 that I pulled out of a donor 'Burb. I bought it from the original owner and he swore that the motor had never been apart. BUT-it's hard to see in this picture, but it has mis-matched heads. The one on the left (driver's side) has mounting holes and the other one don't. Thing is, nothing was ever mounted in the holes-they what looks like 40 years of build-up in them!:

Parts and more parts:

So many motors. So little time. And money.
