That reason I mentioned checking pins. You don't want to buy any more Caterpillar parts than necessary.
We had one of these excavators fall off a mountain a couple of years ago. The insurance company totaled it.
What ever you buy, insure it. Insurance on equipment is cheap. We have had machines burned, wrecked and stolen. The insurance company hasn't flinched yet.
