The radio is back! I had it serviced and the speaker re-coned by Crockett Sound Labs. It looks great, it will be a while before I know how it sounds.
Word of advice, if you are planning to have an old radio restored, plan ahead. The radio guys are really busy! I sent this radio to them 8 months ago.
I had considered just installing the radio without having it serviced; but, decided against it when I saw how much of the interior I would have to remove if it didn't work. It's a good thing I sent it in, the output transistor was blown (common with these radios) and I would have been pulling it out again.
I got the blower inlet housing cleaned up and back on the engine:
Now that both of the endpoints are set, I started working on the tubing for the intercooler. Here is the turbo to intercooler portion tacked and mocked into place:
